How to Fix Error 53 after iOS Update or Restore - Save Your Bricked iPhone

Many iOS users have their iPhone/iPad bricked by "Error 53". If you are in the same boat, it is time to fix this problem.

If your iPhone has been bricked by "Error 53", please follow steps below:

1. Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes.
On your computer, run iTunes, go to "Help > Check for Updates". If there is new version available, download and install it.

2. Force restart your device.
Press and hold both Home button and Sleep/Wake button for at least ten seconds until you see the Apple logo. This should only be applied when your iPhone is not responding.

3. Try to restore your device again.

Apple explains that "Error 53" appears when a device fails a security test, which is designed to check whether Touch ID works properly before the device leaves the factory.

The problem usually occurs after users have their iPhone 6/6Plus screen along with Touch ID and Home button , not in Apple Store or Apple-authorized repair center, but third-party stores. When you try to update iOS or restore from backup, the software checks to make sure the Touch ID sensor matches other hardware. If it doesn't, your iPhone will stop functioning.

This solution can unbrick your iPhone and prevent non-Apple repair from bricking iPhone in the future, but the Touch ID sensor will still no longer work. You have to replace it in Apple Store or Apple-authorized repair center.

How to Recover Deleted/Lost Contacts on iPhone 6S/5S/4S, iPad, iPod Free

2 Popular Chinese Smart Phone Brands

As is known to all, smart phones from China are usually related to “budget” and “competitive specification”. Many people, however, have ever bought counterfeit Chinese smart phones and swear will never buy again unless on a “budget”. On this post, I’m going to list some big smart phone brands in China and reliable channels to buy these budget devices.

1. Huawei

Listing Huawei on the top conforms with the current situation of mobile phone sales volume. According to IDC, in the third quarter, 2015, Huawei ranks third, after Samsung and Apple, on smart phone shipments, occupying 7.5 percent market share. Many Chinese regard Huawei as a hero in the field of smart device. A well-known device in 2015, Nexus 6P, is the result of Huaweis hardware skill and Googles software. As for brand models of its own, Huawei has Honor series, Mate series and P series, the first among which mainly focus on the low priced end of the market. Huawei P8 and Mate S are competitive flagship devices.

2. Xiaomi

Xiaomi has been very popular for high specs and low price in mainland China since the release of its first smartphone in August 2011. Just like its slogan Only for Fans, Xiaomi has been spending much effort promoting the playability of its OS and UI in order to improve user experience. By virtue of its competitive price and specs and effective internet business model, Xiaomi has won many handset users. However, as a brand that sprang up basing on internet, hardware quality is its shortcoming. One widely known problem is that Xiaomi smart phones are easily hot. BTW, to people who may concern, Xiaomi has been called the Apple of China due to similar product design, marketing strategy and announcement style.

Supplement
Many people in west world may be more familiar to another Chinese smart phone brand, OnePlus. However, in the eyes of most Chinese, OnePluss popularity in overseas is quite unbelievable, since it is not that famous in China.

Apart from Amazon and other west world websites, people can also buy Chinese smart phones from Aliexpress, a Chinese shopping site for foreigners.
